Robert H. Miller, 82 of Cranesville, passed away on Friday December 16, 2016 following a courageous battle with lung cancer.

He was born April 1, 1934 in Girard, OH, Trumbull Co., a son of the late H. Lee and Martha "Trudy" (Sutton) Miller.

Bob attended school in Platea. Following high school he enlisted in the US Naval Reserves and later enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1954. There he served with the 1888th Airways and Air Communications Service Squadron and was deployed to Tripoli, Egypt, during the Korean Conflict. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. Upon his honorable discharge from the military he returned to the West County area and worked at Marx Toys and was a school bus driver. He worked many years at the Warren Co. in Erie as a Salesperson, retiring from there at the age of 65.

He enjoyed watching stock car racing at Raceway 7; time at the steam tractor show in Saegertown.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara A. (Zysk) Miller, whom he married 12/27/1958, also by a sister, Kathryn J. Silverthorn.

Bob is survived by two daughters, Karen A.Miller, Julie A. Miller; two sons, Michael D. Miller (Sandy Dimon), Mark R. Miller (Erin); a sister,m Sandy Stillion; his grandchildren, Paige M. Miller, Dakota J. Huston, Austin J. Miller and Kaleb R. Miller, also several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2PM on Saturday January 21, at the Albion Volunteer Fire Dept., 19 Smock Ave, Albion, PA 16401

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Cranesville VFD or the Albion VFD, 19 Smock Ave., Albion, PA 16401 or to the or the American Cancer Society 2115 W. 38th St., Erie, PA 16508
