Robert E. “Bob” Boyle, 58, of Girard, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at UPMC Hamot following a lengthy illness.
 He was born March 9, 1959 in McKean, a son of Dr. Richard C. Boyle of Lake City and the late Patricia M. (Behre) Boyle.
 Bob graduated from the Girard High School in 1979. While in high school he attended Vo-Tech in Erie and worked for Larry Pennica’s IGA grocery store in Lake City.
 He later worked with Joe Desko laying concrete block and masonry. Bob was the caretaker of St. John’s Cemetery in Girard and in charge of maintenance for St. John’s Catholic Church and Social hall in Girard for 25 years. In 2006 he and his family moved to Colorado Springs where he owned and operated Artistic Glass Design. He returned to Girard and later worked as Maintenance Engineer for the Girard United Methodist Church until recently.
 He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Girard and a Third Degree member of Girard Council #5430 Knights of Columbus.
 Bob enjoyed his dogs, Dylan and Ryan and loved working outdoors.
 He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia (Behre) Boyle on February 19, 2010.
 Bob will be greatly missed by his family which in addition to his father, include his wife, Kim (Beatty) Boyle, whom he married August 8, 1992 in Girard, also by his daughter, Sarah K. Boyle; sisters, Casey Hoffman (Keith) of MO, Tracy Kulik (Rich) of GA, Trish Wampler (Doug) of VA; brother, Dr. Sean Boyle (Donna) of NY; his step mother, Dorothy Spitzer and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
 Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Saturday January 13, 2018 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 101 Olin Ave., Girard at 11 a.m. with Rev. William Miller presiding. A Luncheon will be held following the service at the Girard United Methodist Church 48 Main St. East Girard.
 In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sarah Boyle Educational Fund, C/O Edder Funeral Home Inc., 309 Main St. East, Girard, Pa 16417.
