Paul J. Woytek

Paul J. Woytek, 84 of East Springfield, passed away on Sunday November 19, 2017.
 He was born in Arcadia, PA, Indiana County on February 1, 1933,  a son of the late Andrew M. and Anna (Hritz) Woytek.
 Paul graduated from Montgomery Township High School in 1950, where he excelled in all sports. Following high school he was inducted into the US Army, where he served as Sergeant in the 518th Airborne Field Artillery Battalion during the Korean War. Upon his honorable discharge from the military he attended John Carroll University where he studied Engineering. He had been employed at Premix, Inc. in North Kingsville, OH for over 30 years.
 He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Girard, the Edinboro- McKean Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #740 and was an avid hunter fisherman and golfer.
 In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Andrew E. Woytek and two sisters, Agnes Fayak and Sally Paris.
  Paul will be greatly missed by his family, which include his wife of 59 years, Patricia (McQuown) Woytek, whom he married February 1, 1958 in Elyria, OH; daughters, Paula J. Shade (Neil Jr.), Pamela Lascek (Thomas), Patricia A. Madden (Chris), Paige E. Hemmis (Jason); sons, Patric Woytek (Beverly), Paul M. Woytek (Trish Faulkner); his grandchildren, Christopher, Adam (Erin), Katherine, Daniel, Leah, Alex, Andrew, Sarah and Max; a great grandson, Ryan, soon to be born; sisters, Dorothy, Dolores, Loretta, Laverne, Rosemarie, Sylvia; brothers, Dave, Bill and Walter; his mother in law, Sara A. Kerr and many nieces and nephews.
 Friends may call on Tuesday (TODAY) from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Edder Funeral Home Inc., 309 Main St. East, Girard. A Prayer Service will be held there on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. followed by the Funeral Mass at 2:00 p.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 101 Olin Ave., Girard with Rev. William Miller officiating.
 Burial with full military honors will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Girard.
 In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Springfield Volunteer Fire Dept., 11959 Main St., East Springfield, Pa 16411.
