Michael F. Lucas, 74 of Lake City, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday March 15, 2017.

 He was born August 25, 1942 in Erie, a son of the late Michael and Frances (Menosky) Lucas.

 Mike graduated from Girard’s Rice Avenue Union High School in 1959. Following high school he enlisted in the US Army, where he served with the 984th Engineer Co. Maintenance. He was deployed to Germany for a period of two years and returned home to Girard following his honorable discharge. He worked for Parker White Metal (Now PHB), where he was employed for 39 years retiring in 2005.

 He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Girard and the Girard American Legion Post #494. Mike was an avid lover of the outdoors and loved to hunt and fish.

 In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Barbara Waxham and Judy Skowronski.

 Mike will be greatly missed by his family, which includes his wife, Kathy J. (Leonard) Lucas, whom he married, April 18, 1975 in Girard, also by two daughters, Ronda Bowen and her partner Melissa Byers, Renee Mielnicki (Robert); a sister, Geri Himes (Kirk); two grandchildren, Cody Bowen and Ryan Mielnicki and many nieces and nephews.

 Friends may call on Saturday from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at Edder Funeral Home, Inc., 309 Main St. East, Girard. Services will be held privately by the family.
