Kathy J. (Leonard) Lucas, 70 of Lake City, died unexpectedly on Tuesday January 2, 2018 in Ocala, FL.
 She was born October 22, 1947 in New Castle, PA, a daughter of the late Louis and Elsie (Ritchie) Leonard.
 Kathy graduated from the New Castle High School in 1965. She later moved to the Girard area and began working at the Girard School District in 1974. She retired from there in 2003 as a Buyer/Accountant.
 She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Girard and enjoyed golf, local golf leagues and pickle ball. Following her retirement she enjoyed many winters in Florida as well.
 In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Michael F. Lucas on March 15, 2017, and whom she married April 18, 1975 in Girard.
 She will be greatly missed by her family, which include her daughters, Renee L. Mielnicki (Robert) of Gibsonia, PA, Ronda Bowen (Melissa) of Richmond, VA.; sisters, Carol Hoyland (Robert) of Tampa, FL, Marylou Rico (Nick) of Chagrin Falls, OH; a brother, Lou Leonard of New Castle; two grandchildren, Ryan Mielnicki and Cody Bowen and several nieces and nephews.
 Friends may call on Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Edder Funeral Home Inc., 309 Main St. East, Girard and are invited to a Prayer Service there on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. followed by the funeral mass at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 101 Olin Ave., Girard at 10 a.m. with Rev. William Miller officiating.
