Katherine M. (Suscheck) Ryan, 96 of Girard, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday August 1, 2017.
 She was born in Northampton, Pa., March 11, 1921, a daughter of the late Metro and Mary (Chaban) Suscheck.
 She moved to this area as a young girl with her family, living in Pont, (near Albion), attending a small school there. Following her education she began work at the Albro Pickle Factory in Springboro. Following her marriage she and her husband, Art, owned and operated Town Cleaners in Albion and later Ryan’s Bar   Grill in Lake City. She retired from that business and moved to Corry. She and her husband spent many winters in retirement in Homosassa, Fl., living out her remaining years in Girard.
 She was a member of Ss. Peter   Paul Orthodox Church in Crossingville for many years where she was a member of the Altar Society, also a member of the American Legion Post #742, enjoyed playing cards, sewing and gardening.
 In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by twin daughters in infancy; her husband of 44 years, Arthur L. Ryan and two brothers, Harry and Andy Suscheck.
 She will be greatly missed by her family, which include three sisters, Margaret Suscheck of Girard, Ann Stickner of Cranesville, Alice Suscheck of Girard; two brothers, John Suscheck (Ann) of Fairview, William Suscheck of Girard and many nieces and nephews.
 Friends may call on Wednesday (Today) from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.at Ss. Peter   Paul Orthodox Church, 25636 N. Mosiertown Rd, Edinboro, Pa 16412. A Panahida Service will begin there at 7:30 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held there on Thursday at 11 a.m. with Father Daniel Mathewson as Celebrant.
 Memorials may be made to  Ss. Peter   Paul Orthodox Church.
 Burial will be in the Girard Cemetery.
