Jean L. (Walts) Pogson, 88 of Fairview, passed away on Saturday February 18, 2017 at West Lake Woods.

She was born September 27, 1928 in Edinboro, a daughter of the late Max and Lois (Aldridge) Walts.

Jean graduated from the Rice Avenue Union High School in 1947. Following high school she worked at Marx Toy’s in Girard as an assembler until the time of her marriage to Walter H. Pogson on August 14, 1948 in Lake City. The couple moved to the Fairview area and resided there throughout the remainder of her life.

She enjoyed being at her home, flower and vegetable gardening and spending her leisure time fishing with her family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; a son, Jeffrey C. Pogson; a granddaughter, Lisa Marie Pogson; two sisters, Eleanor Cilladi and Joyce Cross.

Jean is survived by her three sons, Bruce A. Pogson (Ramona) of Fairview, Richard C. Pogson (Theresa) of Fairview, Walter M. Pogson (Lori) of Phoenix, AZ; a daughter in law, Vicki Jo Pogson of Punta Gorda, FL, seven grandchildren; several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Friday from 10am until the time of the service at 11am at Edder Funeral Home, Inc., 309 Main St. East, Girard with Rev. Jim Rimmer officiating.

Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery.
