Fay M. (Kalbrunner) Collins, 70, formerly of Girard, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 in Conneaut.

She was born June 12, 1946 in Cleveland, OH, a daughter of the late Donaldson P. and Emma (Ward) Kalbrunner.

Fay graduated from the Rice Avenue Union High School of Girard in 1962. Following high school she graduated from St. Vincent’s Hospital School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. She began her working career at the Hamot Medical Center and later the Soldiers and Sailors Home in Erie and most recently, The Erie County Geriatric Center, (now Pleasant Ridge Manor).

She was a former Girl Scout Leader, an avid gardener and was known to have a real "Green Thumb". She loved being outside, camping and road trips to wherever she could travel.

Following her marriage to Gerald A. "Jerry" Collins in 1980 in Girard she lived many years in Ellabell, GA recently returning to live in the Conneaut area due to her health.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Olds in infancy and three sisters, Shirley Pangratz, Dorothy Myers and Betty Williams.

Fay will be greatly missed by her family, which include, her husband, Gerald A. "Jerry" Collins, whom she married in 1980; four daughters, Cynthia M. Olds (Daniel A. Nutter) of Conneaut, OH, Michelle R. Ramsey (Tom) of Girard, Cheryl L. Ramsey (Michael) of Lake City, Elizabeth D. Collins of Ellabell, GA.; a son, Jason N. Collins of Ellabell, GA; fourteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

No calling hours will be observed.
