Charles E. “Chuck” Dunn, 85 of Albion, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 19, 2016 at UPMC Hamot, following a brief illness.

 He was born November 25, 1930 in Rocky River, OH, a son of the late Charles J. and Elsie (Webb) Dunn.

 Chuck graduated from the Albion high school in 1948. Following high school he began Towne Cleaners in Albion. He was later inducted into the US Navy in 1955, where he served aboard the Battleship USS Wisconsin (BB-64), where he sailed in the Mediterranean Sea and South American Waters. Upon his discharge from the Navy, he returned to the Albion area and continued to own and operate the dry cleaning business and also worked throughout the area in the Construction business. He continued working in the construction business with Labor Local #245, Ashtabula and Erie Local #603. Most recently had been employed by Wolchik Construction.

 He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Albion for many years, a 50 year member of the Western Star Lodge F & AM #304 in Albion.

 He enjoyed hunting and fishing, woodworking. He was known to be a busy man, always working and a continual desire to help others.

 In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by the love of his life, Lou Dunn in 2011 and whom he married June 25, 1955 and a sister, Alice Keck.

 Chuck was lovingly referred to as “Papa” and will be greatly missed by his family, which include his daughter, Janell (Dunn) Watson (Michael) of Hanahan, SC; two sons, James E. Dunn (Renee) of North Kingsville, OH, Jeffery K. Dunn (Veronica) of Millcreek; his granddaughters, Alyssa Dunn, Gillian Dunn, Katelyn Watson, Kristin Watson; step grandchild, Michelle Borecky; step great grandchildren, Jayden and Mikayle Adams, several nieces and nephews and longtime friend, Mike Wolchik.

 Friends may call on Monday from 5PM to 8PM at Edder Funeral Home, Inc., 309 Main St. East, Girard and are invited to attend services there on Tuesday at 10 AM with Rev. Duk Hee Han officiating.
