Charles C. Burns, 58 of Cranesville, died Sunday October 8, 2017 at his home following an extended illness.
He was born n New Kensington, January 9, 1959, a son of the late, Harry C. Burns and Esther (Eshbaugh) Burns of Cranesville.
Chuck graduated from Northwestern High School in 1977. While a student there he excelled in playing baseball and also played football for the Wildcats.
Following high school he enlisted in the US Air Force, where he was later stationed at Mather AFB in Sacramento CA. Following his honorable discharge from the military he worked at Carter Lumber in Fairview and later employed by the company as Manager in the Charlotte NC area. He later worked as a Carpenter in the construction trade, and had been disabled from that work, residing in Cranesville the past 8 years.
He was a n avid hunter and enjoyed fishing as well. Chuck had two loves in his life, his daughter Amber and his beagle “Rosy.” He was a giving man, he really would give anything and everything he had to others and always had a smile.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a close friend Alvin Joyner.
Along with his mother, his family includes, his daughter, Amber Burns (Matt Goins); sisters, Kathleen M. Bergquist (Steven), Patricia A. Hetrick (Gerald); a brother, Eugene C. Burns (Gail) and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at the East Mahoning Cemetery, Sebring Road, Marion Center, PA at 11 a.m.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Edder Funeral Home Inc.,Girard.
