Carolyn N. (Wheeler) Redden, 73 of Lake City, passed away on Sunday July 17, 2016 at Pleasant Ridge Manor, following a courageous battle.
She was born December 28, 1942 in West Springfield, a daughter of the late, Donald and Bertha (Case) Wheeler.
Carolyn graduated from the Rice Avenue Union High School in 1961. She later worked for the Conneaut McDonalds and Girard McDonalds restaurants, Engineered Plastics in Lake City, The Astatic Corp. in Conneaut and Teletron Communications in Erie where she retired from in 2003
She was a member of the Lake City Presbyterian Church, where she was an Elder and served on the Board of Sessions. Also a member of the Presbyterian Women’s Association, and a member of Albion Chapter #22, Order of the Eastern Star.
Her family had been her priority in her life and she was known as a Mother, to every child she came in contact with.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Lynn Redden and a brother, Ronald E. Wheeler.
She will be greatly missed by her family, which include her husband, Calvin C. Redden, whom she married, June 10, 1961 in Lake City, also by two daughters, Rev. Tracie L. Frick (Joseph) of Conneaut, OH, Trudi L. Jarvi (David) of Conneaut, OH; a brother, Richard B. "Bud" Wheeler (Geraldine) of Fairview; her grandchildren, Zachariah, Gage, Taylor and Jesse Frick ; Jordan, Jacob, Cali Don Jarvi; Stephanie Wood and Benjamin Sedmak; several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 2-4PM and 6-8PM at Edder Funeral Home, Inc., 309 Main St. East, Girard. Services will be held there on Thursday at 10Am with Pastor Deb Rimmer officiating.
Memorials may be made to The Lake City Presbyterian Church, 10088 Seeley St., Lake City, PA 16423.
Burial will be in the Girard Cemetery.
